Unlike other water conditioning methods on the market, ActivFlo’s catalytic technology is backed by over 40 years of research. 

Within the core of an ActivFlo unit is a special spiral-like, patented alloy. As water passes through the unit and over the surface of this alloy, it is exposed to a small electrical charge created by the dips and curves of the spiral structure. At the same time, the alloy’s unique shape causes a drop in water pressure. Both of these changes cause the calcium carbonate (limescale) in the water to form insoluble aragonite crystals. These microscopic crystals are perfectly safe, but – critically – do not have the same bonding properties as calcium carbonate. This means they cannot settle in pipework, or on heating elements or appliances, and your home is protected from the build-up of limescale. 

ActivFlo does not eliminate minerals, such as calcium, from your water supply, so you can continue to enjoy the benefits of mineral-rich water.
